5E Model
The 5E model is an instructional model for inquiry lesson planning. The basis of the 5E model is to use learners old ideas and prior knowledge to build upon new ideas. The model states there are five phases to learning. The 5E process allows students to make connections between past and present learning experiences, develop new concepts and skills through manipulation of new materials, demonstrate their understanding, and allows teachers to assess and evaluate students' understanding of key concepts.
